Hey guys! Long time no see! Today I wanted to share some great tips for decorating  a Mehndi/Sangeet Night. For those who do not know, Indian weddings tend to be a multiple day affair. This is one of the reasons that Indian weddings become such grand celebrations. Generally, throughout 3-4 days, there are various events that take place. Personally, one of my favorite events is the Sangeet. Why? Because, it’s a casual night full of dancing, eating, and music! But let’s be honest, everyone knows my ultimate favorite part is always going to be the colorful décor. One of the best parts of coming up with a sangeet backdrop is the freedom to get as creative with colors as you want. There are no rules! Personally, my favorites are bright colors such as yellows, pinks, blues, greens, and purples!

Another great idea would be to put elements such as umbrellas and seat cushions around the room. It gives guests a place to relax & sit while also adding more glitz to the areas around the room other than the backdrop.

There are many couples that decide to combine their Mehndi and Sangeet night. Most likely, the bride will be sitting the majority of the time, at least until the mehndi dries, so I would make the décor around her really stand out. One of my favorite suggestions is adding a swing for her to sit on. It adds a depth in the décor that a couch or chair cannot quite do. This also become a great spot for you take pictures with your friends and family.
